2015 Travel Attraction Highlights
It is a brand-new year, and the perfect time to plan some new excursions to some of 2015's most anticipated attractions.
For those with kids (or kids at heart,) check out China's Hello Kitty Park. With concert arenas, amusement rides, and a giant recreation center for playing mahjong, this park is sure to rake in tons of adoring fans.
If you crave something less cutesy, try the National Videogame Arcade in England, which promises to be a focal point for all things gaming. With events, galleries, and exhibits, this attraction is sure to host some wild gaming action.
Closer to home in Missouri is the National Blues Museum, which will boast a huge theater, loads of exhibition space, and plenty of public programs. Many famed blues legends and fans support the museum, which will open in the spring.
Back in China, the Eternity Passage is a futuristic look at amusement parks. This hi-tech attraction will feature indoor and outdoor components and aims to blend history and fantasy.
Speaking of history, the Grand Egyptian in Cairo will exhibit more than 100,000 relics from the ancient past, documenting more than 7,000 years. The world's largest archaeological museum will feature workshops and conferences.
The end of the year will see the opening of Funtasy Island in Indonesia. Billing itself as a gigantic eco-friendly theme park, the attraction will include a rainforest biome, safaris, and aquatic activities.
