Essentials for a Road Trip
Road trips are fun and if the ones you are travelling with enjoy the same then nothing like it. But make sure you’re toting the right gear.
The check list below can help you with a few tips on what to carry on a road trip.
Travelling Apps and chargers Today’s age of smart-phones, you'll find a smorgasbord of travel applications at your fingertips. You'll have efficient GPS access, as well as apps that help you find everything from great places to eat and clean hotels to parks and other points of interests. Don’t forget the chargers for your devices.
Car food There are two strategies with car food: You can either bring along crumb-free, non-greasy, non-gooey finger foods or pack your family's favorite "treat" foods like chips and baked goods, as a special car reward.
Comfortable clothing, Pillows and blankets It’s important to wear comfortable clothing while on a road trip. Pack favorite bed pillows and blankets to soothe everyone on the journey. Not to miss a change of clothes.
Toiletries and essentials Pack paper towels, toilet paper, tissues, wet- wipes and some garbage bags. And bring more than you think you’ll need.
Spare keys Always pack a duplicate set of car and house keys in a separate bag.
Sports equipment You must be wondering how this is going to help but when you are travelling with antsy kids or adults for that matter then they can blow off some steam at rest-stops.
First aid kit To treat road-trip aches, nicks, and scrapes, pack a plastic bag full of items like anti-bacterial cream, bandages, pain relievers, and motion sickness medicine.
Breakdown supplies Double-check your trunk for a complete roadside emergency kit, including a flashlight and fresh batteries.
