What you should know before you travel to Monaco
Monaco is one of the best places you can visit in Europe. It is also the place where rich people live. Many of the cars you can see on the streets are expensive and unique. Anyway, it is a popular tourist destination. But is an expensive one as well.
If you want to go to Monaco, you should know that it isn’t a member of the European Union. However, Monaco has open borders with France. This means that you can go to Monaco with your passport, if your country is a member of the Schengen Agreement or you come from the United States, Australia, Canada, New Zealand and etc. Citizens from other countries need a visa.
The best way to get to Monaco is by plane. The closest airport is Nice Côte-d'Azur International. It is only 40 kilometers from the city center. You can get with a helicopter, bus, train and a car. All ways are good and quick.
Moving through the city should be done by foot, because Monaco is one of the most beautiful places in the world, so you see it. If you don’t like walking, you can rent a scooter or bicycle.
The national language is Monégasque, but the French is the official language. If you don’t speak these languages, you can use Italian or English. Both of them are widely spoken.
