Ishigaki, Japan is a tourist destination worth visiting
If you find yourself in Japan, this is a “must see” place, and you should definitely visit it. Some people call it the “Japanese Hawaii” because of the stunning nature – above and beyond the surface. We will just tell you – Ishigaki Island, a tourist destination that will leave you breathless.
Beautiful beaches, fascinating blue water, or as the Guide Book publisher Lonely Planet describes it, “The island blessed with excellent beaches and brilliant dive sites”, with “an attractive, low-lying geography that invites long drives and day hikes”.
Located near the main Okinawa airport, Naha, Ishigaki has a population of about 48,000 people. It is a city on Japan’s Ishigaki Island and a jumping-off point for beaches and coral reefs. It is one of the best spots in Okinawa, mostly because of the Kabira Bay and one of the most remarkable places on Ishigaki Island.
One of the most famous activities on Ishigaki is the 30 minute ride around the bay in the glass bottom boats. You can admire and take pictures of tropical fish, neon fish, the corals, sea snakes, or giant clams on the bottom of the sea. After this tour, you can go to the hill above the beach where the observation point is and have an unforgettable view of the bay and its blue waters.
Ishigaki Observatory Station is worth visiting because it provides the best for star lovers. You can see how a giant telescope operates, and enjoy star and planet gazing sessions. Later, you can enjoy in long walks around the park or on the beach.
